The man behind Wayne from Wayne's World, Austin Powers, Dr Evil and Shrek is back on the big screen as The Love Guru.

As a young boy growing up in Canada, Mike dreamed of working on hot TV comedy show - Saturday Night Live - and starring in films. He got his wish sooner than he could have imagined. The same day he took his final exams in high school, he auditioned and got the gig with Toronto's famed comedy troupe Second City, which led to him joining Chicago's Second City Troupe, and changed his life forever. It brought him to the attention of Saturday Night Live, and he became one of their most popular members in the 1990s. His character Wayne from Wayne’s World spawned two hit movies, broke box office records and became a classic for rock lovers everywhere.

His next big hit was groovy baby, as he swung onto the big screen as Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, playing not only Austin but Dr Evil, his dastardly nemesis. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Goldmember followed, introducing us to the classic characters Fat Bastard and Goldmember. Other Mike Myers' works include the comedy classic So I Married An Axe Murderer – with our own Anthony LaPaglia – and his critically acclaimed role as club owner Steve Rubell in the ensemble drama 54, and the lead role in The Cat In The Hat. All that AND he has prime real estate in the shape of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and had streets named after him in Canada and Utah: Mike Myers Drive, Mike Myers Way... but the street signs keep getting stolen!

His latest creation is Guru Pitka who seeks only peace, enlightenment and national television coverage in The Love Guru, co-starring Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake. It opens in cinemas 10th July. Check it out at www.loveguru.com
