Comedy writer, radio and television performer, stand-up comic, sketch and impro performer: Celia’s come a long way since bursting onto the Melbourne comedy scene in 2006.
After a handful of gigs she was crowned the Raw Recruit, winning Best First-Time Entrant in the prestigious Raw Comedy open mic competition at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Celia's candid and richly funny observations of the universe were lapped up by audiences nationally and noted by critics, and saw her handpicked in 2007 to perform as part of The Comedy Zone, which features the brightest new comedy talent on the scene.
This year she traded in her waitressing career to write for Good News Week, and to write and perform The Comedy Hour on ABC radio, and broadcast her weekly show Red Hot Go on Fox FM.
Celia won Best Comedy Show at the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival with her first solo show Am I Strange?
