Daniel Craig is 007 Agent James Bond of the British Secret Service MI6, in the new action adventure Quantum of Solace.

Hailed as one of the finest actors of his generation on stage, screen and television, Daniel returns to the role of James Bond following his highly acclaimed debut in Casino Royale, the highest grossing film in the history of the 007 franchise.

Daniel grew up in Liverpool, and always knew he would be an actor. He left Liverpool at 17 and headed to London, where he was accepted into a prestigious theatre group and drama school. From his film debut in The Power Of One in 1992, he came to the attention of critics and casting directors in the critically acclaimed UK TV drama Our Friends in the North. He followed this with a mix of independent films and blockbusters, including Love Is The Devil; as Angelina Jolie’s boyfriend in Lara Croft Tomb Raider; Paul Newman’s son in The Road To Perdition; and Gwyenth Paltrow’s lover in Sylvia.

He’s earned a loyal following with terrific performances in movies such as Enduring Love, Layer Cake, The Jacket, Munich, and The Golden Compass. Upcoming films include Flashbacks of a Fool and Defiance.

Daniel reprises his role of Agent 007 James Bond in the latest action adventure in the longest running franchise in film history, in Quantum of Solace.

Quantum of Solace opens in cinemas on Wednesday 19th November 2008.
