Dave Thornton

Dave Thornton is one of Australia’s most exciting young stand-up comics.

Although relatively new to the scene, Dave has quickly gained attention by winning numerous awards such as ‘Angling for a Laugh’ in 2005, ‘Search for Funny Bone’, Campus Comedian of the Year at TREV, and Best University Comedian in Victoria.

Dave's solo performance debut at the 2007 Melbourne International Comedy Festival won him a nomination for Best Newcomer, and he’s been on the telly on shows including Stand-up Australia on thecomedychannel and Comedy Inc – The Late Shift.

Dave is a Sagittarian who enjoys long walks in the park and getting caught in the rain.
