Lenny Henry

Lenny Henry

Fresh from sell-out UK gigs, the comedian, impressionist, singer and actor Lenny Henry returns to Australia and New Zealand with his new live show 'Where You From?'

Lenny's showbiz debut as a contestant on UK's New Faces got him a gig on a children's TV show which led to him being a cult star, and one of Britain's best known and loved personalities.

His sold-out tours have earned him legions of fans in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, as well as roles in films like the Shrunken Head in 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner Of Azkaban', the Genie in 'Bernard and the Genie' and the Hollywood flick 'True Identity'. He’s impressed both audiences and critics in dramatic and comedy roles in TV shows including 'Chef' and 'Hope & Glory'; and his own TV shows include The Lenny Henry Show, 'LennyHenry.TV' and 'Lenny's Britain'. He’s also sailed across the ocean with Tony Bullimore in the documentary 'Lenny's Atlantic Adventure', and partied with UK royals as host of 'Party At The Palace – The Queen's Concert', a live televised gig from Buckingham Palace.

In 2003, Lenny was awarded the Lifetime Achievement - Performance Award at the British Comedy Awards. Lenny lives with his wife, beloved comic Dawn French, and their daughter and dog in Berkshire, England. He collects rare marvel and DC comics, cufflinks and old vinyl.

Lenny will be touring Australia and New Zealand with his new show 'Where You From?' in July. Click here for ticket details.
