From the man who’s taken toilet humour to the extreme, comes the all-new Kenny’s World, an international travel show paying homage to the humble dunny.
Shane is best known for his warm and charismatic portrayal of the “fairdinkum Aussie bloke” Kenny in the box office Australian smash hit award-winning movie of the same name. Kenny earned Shane international popularity and numerous awards, including the 2006 AFI Award for Best Lead Actor. He co-wrote the screenplay with his brother, director Clayton Jacobson.
Shane began his career on stage with amateur theatre when he was 10, performing in Australia and overseas. At 18 years old he started doing comedy stand-up gigs and appearing on radio, then he began working in front of the camera, acting in prominent music videos, short films and TV ads.
Shane has appeared in two Australian films apart from Kenny – Newcastle and Cactus. He’s also been hot on the Melbourne stage, winning a Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor award for his work in the classic Hollywood musical Guys and Dolls.
His new TV show Kenny’s World is an international travel show with a difference - it follows Australia’s favourite porta-loo plumber and part-time philosopher on a sightseeing tour you won’t find in any travel guide.
Kenny’s World begins on Channel 10 on Wednesday 10th September at 8:00pm.
