Two of Hollywood’s funniest superstars have teamed up again in the US box office smash-hit comedy Step Brothers.
Will Ferrell started his career as a TV sports announcer before turning his hand to comedy. While on stage in one of LA’s best known comedy-improv groups, he was discovered by the legendary TV comedy show Saturday Night Live, and quickly became one of the show’s most popular and versatile cast members. Will was in SNL for seven years, picking up Emmy nominations for performance and writing along the way.
Before long, Will was a leading man in the comedies Old School, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, and picked up Golden Globe nominations for his roles in Stranger Than Fiction and The Producers. When not making hit movies, he competes in marathons and plays soccer.
John C. Reilly, actor, director and playwright, started in amateur theatre at only eight years of age. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, he joined prestigious theatre groups before sending a videotape of himself to director Brian DePalma for a small role in his film Casualties of War. DePalma was so impressed with John’s work that he re-cast him in a pivotal role in the film.
More roles followed, and John played opposite Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder; with Mark Wahlberg in Boogie Nights; and appeared in Magnolia and The Perfect Storm. John has also appeared in the award-winning films The Hours, Gangs of New York, and earned Golden Globe and Oscar nominations for his role in Chicago. His starring role in the comedy of a fictional music star in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story earned him leading man status and Golden Globe nominations.
Hot off the success of the box office smash Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, John and Will reunite as two guys who find themselves suddenly living together, in the US box office smash-hit comedy Step Brothers.
Step Brothers is in cinemas in Australia and New Zealand from 18th September.
