Mick Molloy

Comedian/writer/actor/producer – Mick Molloy is one of Australia’s most successful ‘slashies’. Currently he's starring on Ten’s 'Before the Game' panel, and in the new TV series 'The Jesters' – a satire about satirists.

Mick Molloy is one of Australia’s most recognised comedians, having starred on radio, television, stand up and film. We first met him as an integral part of the highly successful TV series the D-Generation in 1992/93. He then went on to write and perform for The Late Show on ABC in 1993/94, in which he directed many of his own segments. One of Australia’s most accomplished radio performers, he hosted the national phenomenon that was the radio program Martin/Molloy, airing on 54 stations throughout Australia from 1995-1998, it is still one of the most successful programs ever to be broadcast in Australia. He went back on the national airwaves from 2004-2006 with his program ToughLove.

Mick was nominated for an AFI Award for his film Crackerjack. In 2003 he was named Australian Star of the Year for his acting performances in the films Crackerjack and Bad Eggs. Mick also co-wrote, produced and starred in the 2006 film BoyTown, and also produced and directed the feature length documentary Tackle Happy in 2000.

More recently on TV, Mick appeared in the TV-movies Stiff and The Brush Off, made special guest appearances on Kath & Kim, and co-presented the 2006 weekly sports program Any Given Sunday. Now, Mick is on the panel of Ten’s Before The Game. Mick also stars in The Jesters, a new behind-the-scenes show about making a comedy TV series, on Movie Extra Tuesdays 9.30pm.
