Quentin Tarantino

One of the most celebrated filmmakers of his generation and an Oscar winner to boot, he’s thrilled audiences with modern classics such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and now his latest, the worldwide #1 box office smash hit, Inglourious Basterds.

Combining snappy dialogue, pop culture references and a touch of violence – Quentin has re-invented modern cinema with his classic movies. His love of cinema stretches back to when he was a child and when he preferred to go to the movies rather than going to school. His encyclopedic knowledge of films was already impressive by the time he started working at a video store in LA. He’d been studying, acting and writing screenplays when he came up with cinema gold and a bold film debut 'Reservoir Dogs', a cops and robbers tale that he wrote, directed and produced on a shoe string budget. Reservoir Dogs featured an impressive cast including Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Quentin himself.

He went on to make the award winning classic flick Pulp Fiction as well as Jackie Brown, Death Proof and Kill Bill. As well as writing and directing, Tarantino also acts – from his early appearance as an Elvis impersonator on the Golden Girls to From Dusk Till Dawn, Pulp Fiction and the hit TV show Alias.

He was a special guest director on the thriller Sin City and the omnibus feature Four Rooms. On the small screen, he directed the season finale of CSI, entitled “Grave Danger” - it was pure Tarantino.

An acclaimed writer, he picked up an Academy Award for Best Screenplay for Pulp Fiction, which won numerous other awards around the globe. He's also written for other filmmakers including True Romance with Christian Slater and From Dusk Till Dawn with George Clooney and Salma Hayek.

Quentin’s diverse work as a producer exemplifies both his dedication to first-time filmmakers and his enthusiastic support for his experienced colleagues – he was executive producer on Eli Roth’s chilling horror film Hostel and produced first-time director Katrina Bronson’s Daltry Calhoun starring Johnny Knoxville and Juliette Lewis, among others.

His latest film Inglourious Basterds stars Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Christoph Waltz, Eli Roth and Mike Myers, and has opened around the world at #1 at the box office.
